Volvo Group is one of the main partners to the 16th ITS World Congress in Stockholm 21-26 September and Volvo Logistics will participate in different activities during the congress.
What is ITS World Congress?
ITS World Congress attracts over 3000 delegates from across the globe to debate, exchange knowledge and learn about current future ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) projects. The congress is divided in different areas such as Demo Theatre, Sessions, Debates and Demonstrations etc.
Volvo Logistics´ activities – Demo Theatre
Volvo Logistics has been given the project management role to develop and set up the Volvo Group scenario at the Demo Theatre at the congress. Volvo Group together with "Green Cargo" and "Chalmers/Viktoria Institute" will present one of five plays, called "Safe and Sustainable Transport Solutions - The Journey of the Living Engine”. The audience will follow the goods, played by an actor, from one plant to another via an integrated set up combining different transport modes and using the concept of "Smart Goods". Challenges and solutions that appear along the way will be highlighted.
The play will take place at the Demo Theatre located in the Exhibition Hall:
